On Thursday I attended the LABEL Autumn Winter collection launch event. The night was greeted by LABEL designer Nadia Turton; filled with bloggers, influencers, personalities enjoyed over canapes and drinks. A great way to spend the night.
Ready-to-wear female fashion brand, LABEL, has launched the Autumn/Winter 2016 Collection, inspired by autumnal shades and landscapes.
This new collection, as with those preceding, clearly reflects the LABEL design ethos, a core value in designer Nadia Turton’s creative process: to produce on-trend pieces without compromising on comfort and quality. Garments are easy to wear, generally of classic styles with unique design details.
Inspired by the rich colours and textures observed during the changing of the seasons, Nadia’s palette includes cinnamon, papaya, oatmeal and grey melange. She explains how she creates timeless pieces intended to be worn year after year - ”our designs are for life, not landfill.” The collection includes beautiful melton coats, soft knit dresses, oversized blouses, staple leggings, soft waterfall cardigans and feminine blouses; making use of a number of contrasting fabrics as well as striking colour blocking.
The lookbook was shot in the rambling gardens of the Roundhouse in Camps Bay, breathing life into these fresh designs in a setting from which they were inspired. Photographed by Lisa Gabriel and filmed by Tauriq Ajam, the series of images and behind the scenes footage see two self-assured women at an effortlessly chic picnic, the kind of female for which Nadia designs her range.
